Summer 2 - Year 6 are working in groups on an exciting project called “Theme Park”. Their brief is to design, create and run a theme park with a budget of £5 million pounds!!! Not only do they have to decide on the costing of the amenities and rides, they also have to factor in insurance, running costs and staffing. Then they have to work out entrance fees so that a profit can be made!

Maths:

Maths at Woodbridge Junior School follows the Maths No Problem Textbooks – this term we are focusing on develop our understanding of fractions - simplifying, comparing, ordering, adding, subtracting and multiplying and dividing fractions. Some of the methods taught during these session may be very different to the way you were taught Maths at school so if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to speak to any member of the Year 6 team – Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Slater or Miss Higton.

Obviously as the Spring term goes on, and we get ever closer to the SATS tests, we will also be covering a range of mathematical topics in order consolidate our learning and boost confidence ready for the big day.
