  • Boys Futsal Competition 18.01.2024

    Fri 19 Jan 2024 PE & Sports

Six boys from upper school, attended a Boys Futsal Competition, after school at Alfreton Leisure Centre.

They all played so well. Their resilience, team spirit and determination was fantastic! They were respectful to all the other teams and to each other. They managed the team themselves and showed great leadership skills. There was so much talent and skill on show at the competition, including some brilliant saves from our very own goal keepers! Our outfield players showed good movement and had some excellent near misses!

Well done to all who played!

  • Grocery Vouchers

    Thu 22 Jun 2023

Grocery vouchers for families children and care leavers

Eligible households will automatically receive a one-off food voucher worth £45 per eligible child / young person in June 2023.

The vouchers are available for: · children who receive benefit related free school meals

    · children in an early years setting (nurseries and pre-schools) who receive funded childcare for eligible 2 year-olds or the early years pupil premium for 3 and 4-year-olds (due to living in a low income household)

    · care leavers aged up to 21 years of age living independently

No application is needed. Vouchers will be sent by email or text message. Distribution will start on 21 June 2023 and we expect it will take up to around 30 June before all vouchers are distributed. Vouchers will be issued mainly by email in blocks according to the school or early years setting your child attends. A small number of vouchers will be distributed by text and these will be sent out after all email vouchers have been dispatched. If you have more than one child you may receive their vouchers at different times.

We are unable to take any enquires about missing vouchers until all vouchers have been issued - we will update this web page and provide information about how parents can report missing vouchers once all vouchers have been sent.

A second grocery voucher for the above groups will be issued in early 2024.

  • Girls Futsal Competition

    Wed 25 Jan 2023 PE & Sports

Last night we took part in a Futsal competition, at Alfreton Leisure Centre and WE WON!!!!!!

The girls played extremely well, coming 1st place out of 7 teams.

They showed amazing skill, tactics, team spirit and determination. We played 6 games altogether and won the first 5 games, winning: 1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 3-0 and 3-0! We lost our last game 0-2, but kept our heads held high and showed our respect and love of the game.

Layla bagged herself 7 goals, including 2 hat-tricks! Hope scored 2 out of our 9 goals, in the competition. Errin played well in goal, helping us with our 5 clean sheets, helped by Grace, clearing the attacking balls, in defence. Midfield was held strong by Jess, assisting Layla and Hope in their goals scored.

We are immensely proud of all the girls who played last night!

The girls all have their own medals and we have another trophy for the school cabinet!

    Congratulations!!!!

    Miss Clarke 😀

  • Young Voices Concert

    Fri 29 Apr 2022

I had the pleasure of taking choir to the Young Voices concert on Wednesday afternoon. The children were amazing and had a fantastic experience, singing with 5000 other children. We have been working hard during our choir sessions to learn the songs and it was clear that the children had also been practising these songs at home.

I’m so very proud of all the choir! They are all super stars ⭐️ Miss Hare
