Happy Children Inspired to Learn

Owls Class 2018-19

5th July- I just wanted you to know how impressed we have been this week during the SRE sessions and especially today! Some really sensible questions were asked and  they all said they’d learnt some really important information. They were so incredibly mature. Proud of you all!

Just to let you know that Gracie Slater was born at 1:45 this morning. Mum and baby are doing fine!

If any parents are available Friday morning to escort the wonderful Year 6s down to Watchorn church for the Easter service, please contact school and we’ll let you know the timings etc. Thank you!

The Year 6s have been amazing this week. Their attitude towards their tests has been fantastic and they have all been keen to find out their results. This latest test was a tough one and we’ve explained to them that if their result hasn’t improved, this is probably why. We have identified areas for revision in the next few weeks to help them with their SATs preparation.

Well done Owls and Bears! We’re really proud of you all.

Mrs Slater, Mrs Grant and Miss Higton.

This morning some visitors came into school to teach us all about internet safety. They put on a fantastic performance first and then we all participated in a workshop. It was really interesting and very relevant to young people today.

Our Fantastic Four Readers have all read at least four times outside of the lesson and recorded it in their diaries! Every week we will be checking diaries on a Friday to make sure our wonderful Year 6s are reading on a regular basis.

Year 6 are very excited with their new homework books. They have brought them home tonight and have a timetable which tells them the date it has to be in. This can also be found on the PowerPoint attached from last night’s meeting.
