Welcome to Woodbridge Junior School.

I am incredibly proud and privileged to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Woodbridge Junior School. It is a genuine pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful school community and to share with you the values, ambition, and opportunities that make Woodbridge such a special place to learn and grow.

At the heart of everything we do are our children. We believe every child deserves not only an excellent education, but also unforgettable experiences, meaningful opportunities, and the confidence to thrive in an ever-changing world. At Woodbridge, learning goes far beyond the classroom walls. We are passionate about experience-based learning that inspires curiosity, develops resilience, and creates lifelong memories. Whether through exciting curriculum experiences, educational visits, leadership opportunities, performances, sporting events, or wider community projects, we want every child to discover their talents, broaden their horizons, and believe in what they can achieve.

We know our children well, and we are proud of the nurturing, inclusive environment we provide. Our staff are deeply committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, and challenged to achieve their very best—academically, socially, and emotionally. We recognise that success looks different for every child, and we work tirelessly to tailor support and opportunities so that all children can flourish as happy, confident individuals and responsible citizens of both our local community and the wider world.

Our curriculum has been carefully designed to reflect the opportunities and challenges of modern life. We want our children to leave Woodbridge with not only strong academic foundations, but also the character, creativity, independence, and life skills they will need for the future. We have high aspirations for every pupil and believe passionately that background should never limit ambition.

We are proud to be an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school, but our ambition goes far beyond that. Woodbridge is a school with enormous heart, energy, and potential. The impact of strong relationships, high-quality teaching, and genuine care can be seen every day throughout our school.

One of the first things that struck me when I joined Woodbridge was the warmth of the community and the positivity that fills the school. Staff are dedicated, talented, and compassionate; children are enthusiastic and eager to learn; and our families are supportive partners in school life. Together, we are building something truly special.

We are also fortunate to be part of a strong and supportive local community. Partnerships with parents, carers, and local organisations play a vital role in the success of our school, and we firmly believe that children achieve most when school and home work together.
