Week 2 of our summer term - This week we started our computer programming unit by learning how to create repeat loops in the programme Scratch. We made loops to create various mathematical shapes. In art, we explored six different mediums to test the effectiveness of creating vibrant colours. It was great to see the difference in preferences across the class, which will make for a great varied collection of final pieces at the end of the unit.

 

 

Week 1 of our final term, here we go! Our new unit in English writing began with a hunt for some gifts left behind for us from the Secret Gardener. The children's curiosity was definitely in full form this lesson. We then began our new PE unit, which is all about batting skills, beginning with cricket. We love the summer term because we can spend so much more time learning outdoors. In geography, which links brilliantly with our science, we began to explore the different biomes around the world and practised our mapping skills, identifying the different biomes of the world.
