Week 4 has been a cracker in year 4!
We have advanced our computing edits to combine 2 pictures together. We completed our First Aid lesson for the term, learning how to put people in the recovery position. We had an amazing day with The History Van, learning all about the Mayan civilisation! We made worry dolls, tried out weapons, wrote with quills and ink, and even tasted raw cacao beans.

Here are this week's star of the week award winners for showing confidence.

Week 3, halfway through the term already! With our looming MTC checks, we are ramping up the times table practice, learning in as many fun and interactive ways as possible. In Science, we changed the state of different liquids by melting them. We used our scientific skill of observing changes to notice differences in the way the liquids had frozen. We made the most of the spring weather and enjoyed our circle time session in the meadow. We ended the week progressing our photo editing skills by removing and duplicating elements of photos.

Week 2 and we are all so happy the sun has arrived. It puts us all in such a positive mood for learning.
We have enjoyed being scientists this week, exploring the different melting points of everyone's favourite treat, chocolate! It was great to see one of our rabbits spot the connection between cocoa percentage and the melting points. In computing, we edited the colouring of images to create purposeful moods, and we ended the week building up our timetable confidence with some games.

Well done to these lovely rabbits for being aspirational during your lessons and lunch time last week!

We have had a brilliant week of our first summer term. We have evaluated snacks, using our senses to consider them thoughtfully. We have begun our new Science topic of States of Matter, we can now describe the differences between a solid, liquid and a gas. In Computing, we started learning how to edit photos and in history we looked at where the Mayan Civilisation originated and explored our creativity, making our own Mayan headdresses!
