Week 5.

Well done to our certificate winners for showing resilience.

In Science this week, we looked at what soil was made up of. We dug soil from the school garden, added water, then watched as the layers separated.

We took part in number day, by working on our TT Rockstars.

Teamwork was needed in D.T this week, as we put our skills to test when making a replica Stone Age shelter.

We continued to perfect our ukulele skills, getting ready for our concert.

In computing this week, we learned to add movement and backgrounds to our sprite.

In English, we used Rainbow Grammar cards to write adverbial clauses.

Week 4.

Congratulations to our certificate winners this week for showing creativity.

In Science, we learned how fossils are formed, then used shells to imprint our own fossils into clay.

Our amazing trip to Creswell Craggs! We identified rocks, explored a cave where Stone Age people would have lived and practiced survival skills.

Target practice then a game of bench ball was our P.E lesson this week.

In Science this week, we learned how fossils were formed, imprinted our own fossils into clay and handled real fossils and igneous rocks.

Well done to our certificate winners this week, for showing respect.

In Computing this week, we used ‘Scratch’. We practiced adding backgrounds and programming moves.

In P.E, we continued with invasion games.

We continued to practice our ukulele playing, in preparation for our upcoming concert.

In Science, we tested the porosity, durability and density of different rock types.

Week 2

Well done to our certificate winners this week!

This week in Science, we have been exploring and grouping rocks. Before we grouped the rocks, we put our maths into practice by getting ourselves into groups of 4.

In D.T, we learnt to thread a needle and sew, just like Stone Age people would have done to make clothes and shelter covers.

History this week involved looking at Stone Age artefacts. We handled tools that would have been used.

In English we used our Rainbow Grammar cards to write non-finite clauses.

In P.E, we continued invasion games.

In PE, we worked on our throwing and catching in invasion games.

In ukulele, we continued learning new skills in preparation for our concert.

In DT, we first used our maths learning to put ourselves into 8 groups. This complete, we then looked at different types of Stone Age homes.
