Week 4.
Well done to this week’s certificate winners for showing Aspiration.
This week in Science, we looked at the traffic lights system on food packets. We explored which foods are high in sat, sugar and salt.
We played team games in wheelchair P.E!
In English, we explored formal and informal letters to see different features. We even read letters from Quentin Blake and Axel Sheffler!
In Geography, we used the play dough we made last week in D.T to make topological maps. We then looked at atlases to find the topological maps of England.
In English we refreshed our understanding of adverbial clauses on Rainbow Grammar cards, before writing them in our books.
In D.T, we planned our bread making. We thought about what flavours we would like to add, equipment we would need and the design we would score.

Well done to our certificate winners for showing confidence.
Science Week! What an amazing time we’ve had. Live lessons learning about astronauts, farming lessons and seeing a calf being born and making our own wormery.
We introduced ball skills into our wheelchair sports in P.E.
We have written some amazing poems about feelings! We used our performance voice to share our poems with the class.
In D.T this week, we practiced following a recipe to make dough. We then practiced kneading and scoring in preparation for bread making.

In Computing this week, we added multiple actions to our sprites.
Wheelchair P.E! We needed great upper arm strength and coordination to control the wheelchairs.
We completed our ukulele lessons and performed to our grown ups.
World book day! An amazing way to learn new words.
Science this week taught us what nutrients are in different foods and how they make us healthy.
To begin Science Week, we used VR headsets to learn all about the ocean.
Thinking back to the Stone Age, we drew in the style of cave paintings.

Our English focus this first 3weeks is poetry. This week we looked at different styles of poetry and gave opinions on how each made us feel.
Bread tasting in DT. We tasted a variety of breads from different countries and compared taste, texture and appearance.
In P.E this week, we played relay games.
