Happy Children Inspired to Learn

Spring Term 2

Well done to our week 5 Woodbridge star winner Lola, Henry and Ava who showed great responsibility and Lily who received her confidence certificate!

W.C 20.03.2023 We’ve had a great week this week! We looked at 3D design in computing where we had to build a town with sufficient flood defences to save the residents. We looked further into our emotional vocabulary and dramatised our emotions in each of the Zones, according to the Zones of Regulation. And finally I would like to show you our topographical maps created with salt dough to understand how to read contour lines in maps! Phew! Busy but amazing week guys!

Here are our week 2 & 3 Woodbridge star ⭐️ winners for respect and confidence! It’s getting really hard to choose just one fox each week as so many of them are thriving!

W.C 13.07.2023 brought cooking skills into the foxes class. We practiced the 3 knife grips for chopping and slicing and I was so proud of how responsible they all were. We also explored how our muscles worked to compliment our previous science lesson on the skeleton and topped the week off with a little crafting for Mother’s Day on Sunday!

W/C 06.03.2023 was cut short for us here at Woodbridge with the disruptions of the snow. Before the beast from the east hit we did manage to squeeze in some tennis skills and of course a run around on the playground as the snow began!

Well done to our week 1 Woodbridge ⭐️ winners, all showing resilience in their learning. Not giving up in their independent writes or when they find things a little tricky!

Week beginning 28.2.2023 introduced us to our new topics of our second Spring term. We started our science topic about the human body, we labelled Ava with the names of bones we already knew, then we used our sticky knowledge mats to help us label all the main bones in the body. We also celebrated World Book Day! Woodbridge chose to celebrate words, and the children all came dressed as a word of their choice. It was so nice to see them choosing words which also reflected their personality or interests!
