Maths:

This half-term, we will be looking at a range of problem-solving activities, designed especially to consolidate learning in all areas of Maths, in a fun and practical context. These include “The Landscape Gardening Project” which involves creating and budgeting for a garden design. This will consolidate a range of skills including area, perimeter and organising a budget. “Theme Park Maths” is a fantastic topic where pupils design their own theme park – on a budget! They have to create the design, work out the cost of staff and maintenance and decide how much to charge for entrance fees. It all gets very competitive! We’ll also be looking more closely at geometrical shapes and their properties.
