Woodbridge Junior School

Happy Children Inspired to Learn

Autumn 1

Learning in Autumn Term 1

Autumn Term part 1 was our first term together as new Year 3 Foxes!

Our topic was "How does our local area shape the way we live?" Our learning took us out and about on the school grounds, walking around our local town of Alfreton to study the geographical features of the area and further afield to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

We learned about animal skeleton types, the main function of the human skeleton and how our muscles and joints work.

We also explored water colour art and our local Derbyshire artist Ian Mackay.

You can see that we have had a jam packed first term and the foxes did brilliantly settling in to Woodbridge.

Woodbridge Star Winners

Here are our Weekly Woodbridge Stars. These pupils have really pushed themselves to be hard working and enthusiastic pupils in all areas of school life. We are so proud of all of them!
