Maths - Summer 2

This term, we will be finding out how Maths is used in the world around us by investigating circles and spirals and looking into the work of famous mathematicians such as Fibonacci, Baravelle and Archimedes.  We will then apply the mathematical skills we have learnt so far to problem solving.  Here, we will learn how to work systematically, find patterns and explain our findings.

Maths:

In the first part of this term, we will be consolidating our learning in preparation for the SATs tests, commencing week beginning 8^th May. We will be highlighting problem-solving and using and applying as a priority in all the areas of coverage.  To help your child remember key facts, look at the Maths Revision Mat below.

After SATs, we will be looking at a range of problem-solving activities, designed especially to consolidate learning in all areas of Maths, in a fun and practical context.
