The Elm Foundation The Elm Foundation is affiliated to Women’s Aid Federation England, the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are also accredited by Safe Lives, which is a charity that aims to end domestic abuse for good. Our integrity and values underpin the work we do with people who have experience of domestic abuse. At The Elm Foundation confidentiality is of the utmost importance, and the help and support you’ll receive will come from highly-skilled professionals you can trust. Our support workers are welcoming, they don’t judge, and they work to empower you. They will listen to you and encourage you and equip you with the necessary tools, so that you can make informed choices. We know that domestic abuse can affect anyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, religion, sexual orientation or disability. We believe in equality and offer support to anyone who needs it. The centre is a safe space where people can talk freely about their experiences. We can provide secure refuge if needed, and we work to raise awareness about domestic abuse in the wider community.
