Happy Children Inspired to Learn

Summer 2

Sports Day 2023! Although the British weather tried to keep us down, we didn't let that stop us! Had an amazing morning with the Foxes and Squirrels. Everyone took part and they were all so supportive of each other, well done team! Here are a selection of action shots of the races themselves, and then you will see the winners of the heats, and then the over all winner(s) for that race!

Where is this term going? Another amazing week with the foxes! We saw the return of the tough runner assault course which we absolutely loved. We got wet in forest school, but you can see the rain doesn’t dampen our smiles and we ended the week learning about different prayers said by different religious but thought about what each poem said to us. A really nice calm and respectful way to end the week.

Week 3 Woodbridge ⭐️s showing us their unbelievable confidence this week!

Week two at Woodbridge and we have had a hot, but amazing week! We kicked off Monday with our tough rower competition. This was amazing, the pupils battled individually at first and then as part of a team in the relay race. Everyone had a go and had so much fun. We have begun to explore shadow puppetry further by evaluating some shadow puppets. We investigated further into the inner workings of computers and designed some of our own devices with inputs, processes and outputs and of course, we couldn’t end the week without a little crafting activity for our ‘father figures’ in our families! Amazing week foxes!

Presenting our Woodbridge ⭐️ for respect this week! Well done young man, an excellent example of what it means to be respectful!

Wow what a first week back we have had! We have started our new text in English, The Feathered Serpent and the Five Suns! The children have really got into this book and are growing so confident in retelling the story. In science we have begun our new topic of How does the sun influence our lives? We explored what light is and whether or not the moon was a source of light. We have also begun our new topic of Shadow Puppetry and enjoyed a little treat at the end of the week, enjoying a short puppet show of Sleeping Beauty!

Well done to our week 1 winners of our Pride award! Showing pride both inside and outside of the class room!
