External SEND support
Neurohubs are welcoming local spaces for Neurodivergent children and young people and their parents and carers.
NeuroHubs are open to:
- Residents of Derbyshire and Derby City
- Neurodivergent children and young people age up to 25 (whether they are diagnosed or not)
- Their parents, siblings, carers, and wider family
- Pregnant people expecting a neurodivergent child
NeuroHubs are found:
- The Buxton NeuroHub is hosted by Zink
- The Chesterfield NeuroHub is hosted by Fairplay and Monkey Park
- The Amber Valley NeuroHub is hosted by Derbyshire Autism Services
- The Derby City NeuroHub is hosted by St James Centre
NeuroHubs are:
- An information and advice service, with 12 charities offering their expansive experience to answer your questions and offer sound advice
- A signposting service, with a directory of over 200 services to help your family
- A listening ear and a safe space for parents and carers of neurodivergent children
- Local spaces, with four hubs servicing the community
NeuroHub advisors and coordinators can:
- Help you build toolkits and resources for managing barriers; from anxiety to reactive behaviours
- Sign you up for specialist training in autism and attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder
- Point you in the direction of specialists from both clinical and professional services
- Help develop a neurodivergent profile to best understand your child’s experience of the world
