Our ⭐️ of the week winners this week, showing us how aspirational they have been.
Week 5 of the fastest term it’s felt like. This week we have completed our independent writes, which was a letter explaining how important it is to eat healthily. We learned about the strings on the ukulele and begun a new song. In science we used a nutrition calculator to work out if any MacDonalds food could be considered healthy. We ended the week creating improved physical branching databases. We are all ready for the Easter break, I can’t wait to get cracking on the Summer term!
Week 4 - ⭐️ of the week winners and it was a hat trick of wonderfully responsible young women.
Week 4 in 🦊 class. We enjoyed the arrival of some Spring weather this week, enjoying End Ball in PE. In computing we improved on our questioning in Branch Databasing. In English we explored how to use linking adverbs and how to correctly lay put a letter. We ended the week on a high, creating our own homemade bread rolls. The children worked really well as a team to weigh and combine their ingredients and then divided the dough into four portions to create their own masterpiece! They filled the school with the scent of freshly baked bread, causing many people to come and see what we were up to.
Week 3 ⭐️ award winners. This week impressing us all with their confidence!
Week 3 and there’s no stopping the 🦊! We continued to learn how to tell the time in maths. In PE, the rain brought us inside so we honed our handball skills and used our Rainbow Grammar cards to learn about adverbial clauses. We explored foods labels in science to understand how to make healthy food choices and in computing we created our own branching databases. We ended the week getting a feel for time in seconds and designing our own bread rolls! Phew, we definitely earned our weekend!
Well done to Connor and Elsie for blooming with respect in school last week.
Week 2 of Spring term saw us concluding our unit on money in maths, we explored the 9 regions of the UK in Geography learning which region we live in. It was World Book Day and here at Woodbridge we love celebrating words so we all dressed up as a word. Our costumes were so creative, the effort was outstanding. We finished the week exploring thinking tools to help us regulate our emotions.
Well done to our first Woodbridge ⭐️ of the week winners this week demonstrating their creative genius!
We hit the ground running as we always do at Woodbridge this week. We explored different poetry types and our response to them in English and began our new topic of Money in Maths. In DT we evaluated different breads from around the world to inspire the flavours of our own breads which we will make in a few weeks. In Science we explored our human skeletons and our bones and in our Zones of Regulation lesson we explored different sensory tools to see how we can use them to regulate our emotions.
