Week 6.

Congratulations to our certificate winners for showing confidence.

In Science this week, we used our knowledge of magnets to create a maze which we could move a magnet ball through.

Santa came to visit. He loved our beautiful singing.

Well done to our certificate winners this week for showing pride.

In Science, we investigated the magnetic force of different magnets by attaching a string of paper clips. We needed to try different techniques to attach them depending on the magnets.

We used partners in athletics to perfect our balances.

In English, we used debate to practice persuasive language.

Week 4.

Well done to our certificate winners this week for showing resilience.

In history this week, we looked at why the Roman army was so successful. We made shields and used them to form a testudo, to show how affective it was. We also used the shields in a Celtic attack to compare the two.

In P.E, we worked on balance in athletics.

We continued to learn more notes on our ukulele.

In magic maths, we found partners to make bonds to 100. We used our knowledge of bonds to 10 to help us.

Congratulations to our certificate winners for showing respect.

This week in art, we practiced sketching skills.

We investigated magnetic force and non contact forces in science.

We continued to learn to play the ukulele in music.

In English, we used drama to help our understanding of Septimius Severus, before writing our biography.

Roman artefacts were the focus of our history this week. We explored who would have used them, what they were made from and what they were used for.

Well done to our certificate winners this week for showing responsibility.

In Science, we investigated how different surfaces affect friction.

We looked at a variety of Roman pots in art. We identified features we liked and features which gave us clues for their use.

This week we began to learn how to play the ukulele.

In our Rainbow Grammar session, we practiced using subordinating conjunctions.

We continued playing invasion games in P.E.

Our word of the week has been thundering.

This week in P.E, we had fun with invasion games.

Our science topic this half term is magnets and forces. We explored how magnets react to each other and some materials.

We used Rainbow Grammar cards to add fronted adverbials to our sentences.

In art, we looked at a range of images and discussed what types of art they were.
